Hang in There
Diffieulties arise in the lives of us all. What is most important is dealing with the hard times, coping with the changes, and getting through to the other side where the sun is still shining just for you.
It takes a strong person to deal with tough times and difficult choices. But you are a strong person.
It takes courage. But you possess the inner courage to see you through.
It takes being an active participant in your life. But you are in the driver's seat, and you can determine the direction you want tomorrow to go in.
Hang in there...and take care to see that you don't lose sight of the one thing that is constant, beautiful, and true:Everything will be fine-and it will turn out that way because of the special kind of person you are.
So...beginning today and lasting a lifetime through--Hang in there.and don't be afraid to feel like the morning sun is shining...just for you.
What makes a teacher?
It is customary for *s to forget how hard and dull and long school is. The learning by memory of all the basic things one must know is a most incredible and unending effort.
Learning to read is probably the most difficult and revolutionary thing that happens to the human brain and if you don't believe that, watch an illiterate * try to do it.
School is not easy and it is not for the most part very much fun,but then,if you are very lucky, you may find a real teacher. Three real teachers in a lifetime is the very best of my luck. My first was a science and math teacher in high school, my second , a professor of creative writing at Stanford , and my third was my friend and partner, Ed Ricketts.
I have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist and that there are as few as there are any other great artists. It might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit.
My three had these things in common:they all loved what they were doing. They did not tell, they catalyzed a burning desire to know. Under their influence, the horizons sprung wide and fear went away and unknown became knowledge. But most important of all ,the truth, that dangerous stuff, became beautiful and precious.
I shall speak only of my first teacher because in addition to the other things, she brought discovery.
She aroused us to shouting,book-waving discussion. She had the noisiest class in school and she didn't even seem to know it . We could never stick to the subject. Our speculation ranged the world.
She breathed curiosity into us so that we brought in facts or truths shielded in our hands like captured fireflies.
She was fired and perhaps rightly so, for failing to teach fundamentals. Such things must be learned. But she left a passion in us for the pure knowable world and she inflamed me with a curiosity which has never left . I could not do simple arithmetic but through her I sensed that abstract mathematics was very much like music. When she was relieved, a sadness came over us but the light did not go out.
As you slowly open your eyes, look around , notice where the light comes into your room; listen carefully, see if there are new sounds you can recognize; feel with your body and spirit, and see if you can sense the freshness in the air. Yes, yes, yes, it’s a new day, it’s a different day, and it’s a bright day! And most importantly, it is a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new desicisions, take new actions, make new friends, and take your life to a totally unprecedented level! You know all this is real as long as you are confident, passionate and committed! And you are confident, you are passionate, you are committed!
You will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways, approaching new people, and asking new questions. You will live every single day of your life with absolute passion, and you will show your passion through the words you speak and the actions you take. You will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. You will never succumb to challenges of hardships. You will never waver in your pursuit of excellence. After all,you are the best, and you deserve the best!
As your coach and friend, I can assure you the door to all the best things in the world will open to you, but the key to that door is in your hand. You must do your part, you must faithfully follow the plans you make and take the actions you plan, you must never quit, you must never fear. I know you must do it, you can do it, you will do it, and you will succeed!
Now stand firm and tall, make a fist, get excited, and yell it out: I must do it! I can do it! I will do it! I will succeed! I must do it! I can do it! I will do it! I will succeed! I must do it! I can do it! I will do it! I will succeed!

My f*orite Chinese dish is my f*orite Chinese dish not because of a certain taste but because of the memories that come with it.I first tried this homemade dish when I was three years old, suffering from an intense fever from the flu. I actually got sick very often when I was young so this dish was always a treat. I’d always pick out the largest dough pieces and sweetest tomatoes. The dish was 西红柿疙瘩汤, which essentially translates to Soup with Tomato and Pieces of Dough. Sounds pretty weird- I guess it gets lost through translation. My parents immigrated to the US from China, bringing Chinese food customs and family recipes with them. Among the food recipes with this delicious, warm soup. When my mom was young, she got sick very often - she’d spend every winter at home, unable to go outside. So my grandma would always make her this soup. And many years later, my mother would carry this tradition to me.The soup is made from dough and tomato, with some oil and salt for taste. A very easy-to-make dish and quick to prepare. Once our house lost power due to a snowstorm, and we didn’t prepare really well so we salvaged the tomatoes and dough we had and drank this soup every night. The soup kept us warm through the dark days of winter. The dish isn’t considered eccentric by Chinese food standards. Most people probably know it as a sort of generic quick Chinese food. Some might not even consider it to be an actual dish as it is never served in restaurants. But even though it’s not the “coolest Chinese dish it does bring back some good memories of the past and I guess that makes me enjoy it even more.from Joy Shi. Quora.
The road in life although there are many difficulties, Tagore said, God is entirely for your strong will, he set numerous obstacles in the road. In the face of all the difficulties, we should not panic, do not be discouraged, for man is born to suffering, we will march forward courageously, be firm, not afraid of setbacks, to challenge themselves, to the brilliant achievements。

Do Rise Every Time You Fall“The greatest success is not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall.” This quotation occurred to me when I saw on television Evander Holyfield regained the he*yweight boxing championship which he had last to Riddick Bowe nearly a year before. It was really a great surprise to most boxing fans. Over two thirds had bet that the challenger would fail. The result, however, turned out to be the opposite. Did it happen all by accident? Surely not!H*ing enjoyed the he*yweight boxing championship for two years, you can just imagine Holyfield’s depression after his defeat. He even thought of retiring from his boxing career. Soon he made a recovery, inspired more by the desire to correct his mistakes than to win back the gold belt. He reformed his training plan and hired a new trainer. After the 51 week’s efforts, he succeeded in winning back the gold belt again. It was Holyfield’s successful comeback that made me think about our study and daily life in which we are inevitably overwhelmed by frustrations and failures. Should we let difficulties prey upon us or shall we follow Holy’s suit? From my experience in this part, I do not doubt the latter. Every senior middle school student will remember the Entrance Examination to High School. I am one of them. When I saw the total points on the score report, I was crazy because I knew what this meant to me. “Am I dreaming?” “H*e I made it?” Yes, I made it! I really made it! “I am going to a key high school.” How wonderful it would be! Suddenly my life changed. It was an illness that put me in the hospital. After a long time about three months, I got to the new schoolyard I just could not wait to go. Everything had changed. I had lost so much time that I might not be able to catch up with my classmates. I could not even put my heart into studying because of my illness. I was in low spirits. Maybe I thought I could not be excellent like before. At this time I got to know Holyfield and his unusual story. The words “Do rise every time you fall” encouraged and inspired me. I gained the courage from the word “rise” and now I am standing here before you. Although there are various factors that influence our final success, it should be admitted that perseverance *s an important role. This encouraged us with a vivid motivation and unfailing incentive to strive and to be innovative to achieve all of our goals. From these – the story and experience of Holy and myself. I found the truth – THE GREATEST SUCCESS IS NOT IN NEVER FALLING, BUT IN RISING EVERY TIME YOU FALL.

why is setting goals so important ?because goals can help you to do ,be ,and experience everything you want to you life. winners in life set goals and follow through on them while unsuccessful people just let life happen by accident .by setting goals you are taking control of your life .it's like h*ing a map to show where you want to go if you h*e a clear goal and believe yourself nothing can stop you .therefore why not act now to set a goal of your own if you h*en't one

My dream Everyone has his own dream. Some want to be doctors. Others hope to be scientists. My dream is to become a teacher.
Teachers can not teach us many things at school, but they do their best to teach us how to learn. Thanks to them, we learn knowledge. And at the same time, we learn how to live a happy life. They spend most time on their students. They are great in my eyes.
I hope to be a teacher because I admire teachers. I know it is not easy to make my dream come true. But I decide to study harder from now on. I am sure my dream will come true.

1. Steve Jobs
Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary。
2. David Foster Wallace
There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, “Morning, boys. How's the water” And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, “What the hell is water”... simple awareness; awareness of what is so real and essential, so hidden in plain sight all around us, all the time, that we have to keep reminding ourselves over and over:“This is water。”“This is water。”It is unimaginably hard to do this, to stay conscious and alive in the * world day in and day out。
3. Michael Uslan
You must believe in yourself and in your work. When our first Batman movie broke all those box-office records, I received a phone call from that United Artists exec who, years before, had told me I was out of my mind. Now he said, “Michael, I'm just calling to congratulate you on the success of Batman. I always said you were a visionary。” You see
the point here — don't believe them when they tell you how bad you are or how terrible your ideas are, but also, don't believe them when they tell you how wonderful you are and how great your ideas are. Just believe in yourself and you'll do just fine. And, oh yes, don't then forget to market yourself and your ideas. Use both sides of your brain. You must have a high threshold for frustration. Take it from the guy who was turned down by every studio in Hollywood. You must knock on doors until your knuckles bleed. Doors will slam in your face. You must pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and knock again. It's the only way to achieve your goals in life。
4. Woody Hayes
In football we always said that the other team couldn't beat us. We had to be sure that we didn't beat ourselves. And that’s what people have to do, too — make sure they don't beat themselves.... you'll find out that nothing that comes easy is worth a dime. As a matter of fact, I never saw a football player make a tackle with a smile on his face. Never。
5. Bradley Whitford
Number One: Fall in love with the process and the results will follow.Number Two: Do your work.Number Three: Once you're prepared, throw your preparation in the trash.Number Four: You are capable of more than you think.Number Five: Listen.Number Six: Take action. You have a choice. You can either be a passive victim of circumstance or you can be the active hero of your own life. Action is the antidote to apathy and cynicism and despair。
6. Jerry Zucker
It doesn't matter whether your dream came true if you spent your whole life sleeping.Ask yourself one question: If I didn't have to do it perfectly, what would I tryNobody else is paying as much attention to your failures as you are. You're the only one who is obsessed with the importance of your own life. To everyone else, it's just a blip on the radar screen, so just move on。
7. Earl Bakken
By all reckoning, the bumblebee is aerodynamically unsound and shouldn't be able to fly. Yet, the little bee gets those wings going like a turbo-jet and flies to every plant its chubby little body can land on to collect all the nectar it can hold. Bumblebees are the most persistent creatures. They don't know they can't fly, so they just keep buzzing around. Never give in to pessimism. Don't know that you can't fly, and you will soar like an eagle. Don't end up regretting what you did not do because you were too lazy or too frightened to soar. Be a bumblebee! And soar to the heavens. You can do it。
8. John Walsh
2000年Do one thing at a time. Give each experience all your attention. Try to resist being distracted by other sights and sounds, other thoughts and tasks, and when it is, guide your mind back to what you're doing. I'm not warning against learning many things on many subjects. My warning is against distraction, whether you invite it or just let it happen. In baseball, high-percentage hitters know better: it's “focus” they talk about, and they prize it as much as strength. Psychologists describe skilled rock climbers and tennis players and pianists as going beyond focus, to what they have called a “flow” experience, a sense of absorption with the rock or the ball or the music in which the “me versus it” disappears and there's a kind of oneness with the task that brings a joyful higher awareness, as well as successful performance. I've had these experiences, too little but not too late, and probably you have, too. They are a supreme kind of pleasure. You will have more of them if you do one thing at a time。
9. David L. Calhoun
I worked for a guy named Jack Welch for twenty years at GE. He was, and is, a great mentor as much as a great leader. If I had to isolate the subject he spoke most passionately to me about, over all those years, it is that SELF CONFIDENCE is the most important, the indispensable characteristic of success, the common characteristic shared by great leaders whose talents may have varied widely in most other respects. So, how do you get itWhat is the secret to developing your own brand of self-confidenceFirst, you must resolve to grow intellectually, morally, technically, and professionally every day through your entire work and family life. You need to ask yourself every day: Am I really up to speed or falling behindAm I still learningOr am I just doing the same stuff on a different day or as Otis Redding sings, “Sitting on the dock of the bay... watching the tide roll away” The lust for learning is age-independent. Another important way to build your confidence is to seek out the toughest jobs, the most daunting scientific, engineering or management challenges。
10. Marc S. Lewis
There are times when you are going to do well, and times when you're going to fail. But neither the doing well, nor the failure is the measure of success. The measure of success is what you think about what you've done. Let me put that another way: The way to be happy is to like yourself and the way to like yourself is to do only things that make you proud. There's that old joke, not very funny, that goes, “No matter where you go, there you are。” That's true. The person who you're with most in life is yourself and if you don't like yourself you're always with somebody you don't like。

1had a great time throughout my May Day Holiday. On Monday, I went BBQ with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principle’s flat. Our parents were invited to the party. Everybody was excited about the holiday. I ate a lot of delicious food at that time. On Tuesday, I went visiting my uncle’s family with my parents. We went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in Shanghai. Later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncle’s house. We stayed for the night. On Wednesday, I went shopping with my cousins. We bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. In the afternoon, my cousins g*e me a fun ride on the city highway.
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Before my speech, I'd like to show my gratitude to the service and sacrifice of English Union. Thank you for offering me such a fabulous opportunity to exchange with other English lovers. My name is Yang Longbo, a boy majoring in Automation in Chang'an University. My f*orite motto is “Follow your heart”. Former CEO of Apple Steve Jobs once said,

Everyone is attracted by beauty and beauty is powerful. But what is true beauty? Perhaps you can get the answer from the following story.
This morning I went to the market to buy some vegetables with my parents. On the way we all highly praised a young man in western-style clothes and leather shoes who was riding by. But he rode so fast that he knocked an old lady down carelessly.Instead of stopping, he pretended not to see this and rode away quickly. We were all very angry with the young man. To our happiness, a girl in plain dress ran forward at once, helped the lady up and took her home. We all praised the girl.
From this we know we cannot judge a person by his appearance. A person who is dressed beautifully may not h*e a beautiful soul. Only a person who has a beautiful soul is really beautiful.
Good morning, honorable judges:

House by Limpid water
Hi everybody.
How I wish to live a house surrounded by limpid water! From the windows of the house you could see the clear water flowing by. And the fresh smell of the water could make you forget a day’s hard work and feel vigorous again. And the limpid water could bring us green trees, pleasant grass and colorful flowers. Yes, it is like a beautiful drawing. Yes, it is my good dream!
Edward Winslow's account details that "they went out and killed five deer" and mentions that "our governor sent four men on fowling" and that "they four, in one day, killed as much fowl as, with a little help beside, served the company almost a week." While it is possible that turkeys may h*e been killed, it is more likely that ducks or geese were the primary targets.
In addition, the crops grown by both settler and Native American would h*e graced that early thanksgiving dinner. Corn, squash, potatoes, yams, even wheat to make bread were, in all probability, shared and enjoyed.
